Humanity and Mankind: MH370

Heartbreaking. Devastating and still words seem insufficient.

The whole world stopped when Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Razak announced that The plane, MH370, has ended in the southern Indian Ocean. My condolences and deepest sympathy goes to affected families. I just want you to know that world is mourning with you. I would like to thank to all the nations that joined hands in the process of searching for the missing plane.

Despite of all the stories on how all these nations worked very hard day and night searching for the plane, there are still bad speculations, rumors and accusation made by certain individuals and news programs.

"Serious news deserves serious reporting. We, as consumers, deserve reporting that sifts through the basket and separates the wheat from the chaff before they send it out across the globe." - Lt. Col. Robert Bateman

The first question that came to my mind when I watched all the 'news' reporting on MH370 is the ethics of journalism and also the purpose of it. When you are reporting such a tragic story, you have to think of the aftermath of it as this tragedy involves people's lives. Making assumption and accusation won't make things better. You hurt others feeling when you're reporting false statements.

The other issue that bothers me is Religion. Malaysia is known as an Islamic country and since the awful tragedy of 9/11, world has been pointing fingers to muslim and calling them 'Terrorist'. Today, I found a very disturbing statement made by a group of people in FOX NEWS . How can they say that when the we don't even have any solid evidence yet? They called malaysia muslim pilots terrorist yet did they know that they are consider as a potential terrorist in The United State itself?

They are 72 types of American that are considered 'potential terrorist' In Official Government Documents. So I would like to state here that Number 8 and Number 12 on the list are  Anyone that possesses an “intolerance toward other religions” and “Anti-Muslim” , respectively.

I am very concerned on this issue as a human being. I believe that no religion teaches hatred. We need to remember that even though we are all come from different backgrounds, religions and beliefs, we live together under one roof, The earth. We need each other to survive. Yes, I know there are good and bad in this world but always believe in good and spread it around.

In times like these, we need to stay unite. Spread love.
